Considered by many to be the most powerful and destructive of all the siege engines, the trebuchet took many forms throughout the Medieval world, hurling huge rocks and giant fireballs at (and into) castles. This model, based on the Warwolf, is a tabletop working replica of a trebuchet made in the 13th Century.
This kit lets you build the replica with accurate historic details such as the pegged joints, a leather pouch used for the load, and a wooden box for weights. It's capable of hurling a ball of soft modeling clay (included) over 20 feet! Add this to your battle scene, use it as a school experiment for math or science, or just have fun making it and seeing what it can do! Adjust the weight, angle, lengths, etc. for a more interesting experiment!
Easy to assemble. All pieces are pre-cut and drilled. Requires scissors and white or wood glue. Complete, clear instructions are included. Once assembled, this wooden Trebuchet measures approximately 18" long x 7" wide x 26" tall.
Awarded three stars (the highest rating for a toy in Canada!) by The Canadian Toy Testing Council in 2007.
