Sara Jordan's Math Unplugged Series is a musical approach to math. It's a great alternative to heavier rock and rap math programs. The songs are in a "call and response" style which allows students to learn interactively. Multiplication Unplugged also drills students' counting skills by 2's, 3's, 4's and so on during the choruses, to strengthen their knowledge of the facts. Also on the CD are self-quizzing songs to help build confidence and improve skills. Each 48 page accompanying lyrics book (within these kits) includes activities which may be reproduced by the classroom teacher.

Some songs went a little fast for the more difficult numbers. But there were lyrics to follow along with so you will not get lost.

I remember listening to all the songs a long time ago and even to this day I still remember the tune. It is a great way for children to learn and remember for future reference. There is repetition so it can sink in and they can undersatnd better. It is an interesting, fun way to learn math. Math, believe it or not it can be fun.
