LEGO®
The word 'LEGO' is an abbreviation of the two Danish words, "leg godt," which mean, "play well." It is the name of the company and it is also their ideal. The purpose and vision of the LEGO Group is to inspire children to explore and challenge their own creative potential. LEGO accomplishes this goal by offering a range of high quality and fun products centred around their building systems. Since 1932, children have been playing with LEGO and have been, in the process, developing a set of future, highly-relevant capabilities: creative and structured problem-solving, curiosity and imagination, interpersonal skills and physical motor skills. Building with LEGO bricks is not just about playing, but about learning through play. In the hands of children, LEGO products inspire a unique form of play that is fun, creative, engaging and challenging - all at the same time.
