Marketing Associate – Social Media

The Mastermind Toys marketing team is responsible for building brand equity and growing new users. We are currently seeking a Marketing Associate – Social Mediato join our Team. 

This individual will lead the development and execution of the social media channel strategy, the content marketing strategy, and campaigns that support our key initiatives (including product promotions, holiday, and more). Passion for social media marketing across existing and emerging channels and consumer engagement is a must. You will work on projects in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams from creative, digital and customer experience, purchasing, and store operations. This role will give you the opportunity to develop as a leader and learn specific skills in marketing to grow a brand.

Job Responsibilities

Social Media Lead:

  • Develop and manage an annual content calendar for each social media channel to grow followers across all social channels
  • Create campaign brief with clear objectives, key performance indicators (KPIs), and deliverables
  • Leverage scheduling tools to post on social media channels
  • Own community engagement strategy and execution such as responding to comments and Direct Messages
  • Liaise with customer services and store operations to respond to customer feedback
  • Evaluate, recommend, and execute new social media channels

Content Marketing:

  • Develop a content strategy to build equity as Canada’s Authority on Play
  • Proactively create content in partnership with the creative team
  • Participate in video content with enthusiasm, as the personality of Mastermind Toys on our social media channels
  • Travel to stores to capture content on a regular basis
  • Coordinate with external organizations (vendors, partner brands, content contributors) to develop and execute content

Other Projects:

  • May assist in other related marketing projects and campaigns, such as store level marketing campaigns 

Requirements

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma preferably in business and/or marketing.
  • 1-3 years of experience in marketing or equivalent.
  • Proven results in leading complex projects from inception to execution. You bring your initiative, your extremely organized mind, and your eye for details and design into every project you work on.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. You are clear and concise in your communication skills. You are genuinely excited about creating fun and informative content.
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders. Building productive relationships with others is your superpower.
  • Experienced and passion for creating content and engaging with customers to develop a community.
